ICE-RETENTION TIPS FROM THE MANUFACTURER

Layer your cooler for maximum ice retention. Keep food surrounded by ice to ensure it stays below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (FDA recommended temperature for food safety). To achieve the best results, always place a layer of ice on top.

Ensure you use plenty of ice in your cooler. The more ice you have, the colder the temperatures will be, and the longer your ice will last. Remember to keep the lid closed at all times to prevent cold air from escaping and hot air from entering.

Pre-chill your food and drinks before placing them in the cooler. Colder contents will last longer. Additionally, keep your cooler in the shade to prevent it from heating up quickly due to direct sunlight and extreme heat.

For the most effective ice layouts, layer from bottom to top with the following sequence: Food-Ice-Food-Ice. Always have ice as the top layer and freeze or pre-chill all food before placing it in the cooler. Ensure the food is surrounded and topped with ice.
